            Pros

            Cons

Gout is a buildup of uric acid in the blood, causing painful swelling in the joints, commonly in the big toe. And this can certainly become very painful. That’s why, when writing this review of Gout Out, we wanted to try to find out if it does what it claims: Stop the uric acid from building up, and stop the pain that it causes.

            What’s In Gout Out?

The first ingredients listed (Vitamins B1, B5, B6, and B12) are all part of the same complex of vitamins. Because of this, they all do roughly the same thing when it comes to treating gout: They help convert uric acid into more or less harmless components. The next ingredient, folic acid, is great for blocking the buildup of uric acid. Likewise, vitamin C has been linked to lower uric acid levels in the blood. In the same vein, black cherry extract has been linked to lower amounts of uric acid. Celery seed extract, which is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, acts as a natural diuretic to flush the system. Alfalfa reduces the amount of uric acid in your body. Boswellia has an anti-inflammatory property, which can ease gout pain; the same can be said for Devil’s Claw. Turmeric works much like the last two, but it also helps to cut back on an enzyme which causes gout.

How Do You Use Gout Out?

To use Gout Out, you should take three capsules per day, with plenty of water. If needed, you can increase the dosage until you are taking nine capsules per day (three capsules three times per day) with water. There are no directions on whether or not you should take with food, though it might be simpler to take with meals.

            The Cost

The average price for a bottle of 60 capsules of Gout Out (which starts off as a two month supply) is $19.95. Though the manufacturer (Bio Nutrition’s) website doesn’t offer any special deals or discounts, there are other places where you can find these. For instance, at the time of our review on one website, you could purchase the same bottle for $13.97, saving 29% off of the original price.

            Is There a Guarantee?

Bio Nutrition offers what we consider to be a weak return policy. Any items returned will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. They don’t specify whether they accept already opened bottles (although a “restocking” fee would seem to indicate they don’t); still it would be good to check with them before ordering. In addition, they also don’t indicate any time frame within which returns must be sent.

Only 25 customers (at the time of writing) had posted a review of Gout Out on Amazon. The ratings are not spectacular. While 68% gave a positive score, a rather high 32% gave it a negative rating.

The Conclusion of Our Gout Out Review

In writing this Gout Out review, we have learned a few things about this product. The first is that it certainly boasts a thorough list of ingredients, all of which have been shown to help relieve gout pain. We have also found that the price for 60 capsules is good, if you take the lowest recommended dose of three daily. However, once you begin taking higher doses, it does expensive. It’s also not clear how the manufacturer’s return policy works, making it unclear whether, as with many supplements, you can test its effectiveness risk-free.
