            Pros

            Cons

Today we review Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Cream.  When used daily, this odor-free, antifungal cream, most athlete’s foot will be cured and prevented from coming back.  It is also proven to work on cases of ringworm.

What’s in Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Cream?

This cream contains only Tolnaftate 1%.  This is a known antifungal medicine, but seems as it may not be as strong as other products on the market.  Many other products claim they are able to cure many types of fungal infections, including jock itch.  This specific cream is advertised mainly as a cure for athlete’s foot and only briefly mentions its ability to help with ringworm.

How Do You Use Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Cream?

Like with many antifungal medications, it is recommended to first wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.  The cream should be applied to the affected area twice daily, once in the morning, and once in the evening.  Wash your hands after application as to not accidentally spread the infection.  Continue to apply the medication to the area for 4 weeks.  If the problem persists after that time, a doctor should be consulted.  This 4 week period did seem quite a bit longer than other products, who claim to work within a week or two.

            The Cost

While there is no price listed on the manufacturer’s website, it does have several national stores and pharmacies from which you are able to purchase the antifungal cream in stock.  Amazon listed prices for the 1 ounce tubes of cream from third party sellers for prices as low as $12.17.  On the manufacturer’s website, there is a $1 off coupon that you can bring into any of the stores it has listed.

            Is There a Guarantee?

Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have any guarantee listed.  While some of the stores or pharmacies may allow returns of the product if you are unsatisfied, it is worrisome that the manufacturer does not state that it will offer any kind of refund if a customer is unsatisfied.

The Conclusion of Our Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Cream Review

There are a few things we liked about Tinactin Athlete’s Foot Cream.  First off, the main ingredient, Tolnaftate, is a known antifungal medication.  Secondly, the manufacturer does offer a $1 off coupon to help bring the price down of their product.

Unfortunately, there were many attributes of this cream that worried us.  First off, it seems that this medication takes a very long time to work, and it may not be as strong as other antifungal products on the market.  The directions for this medication state that it should cure athlete’s foot within 4 weeks, while others have stated they cure fungal infections in a maximum of 2 weeks.  Also, the manufacturer does not offer any guarantee on its product.  Lastly, this product is mainly advertised towards athlete’s foot, with a very small mention of its ability to cure ringworm, which is worrisome because it does not give good instructions of how to use the product to help cure ringworm.
