            Pros

            Cons

This review delves into Thorne Research Meriva-SF, a dietary supplement that, according to the manufacturer, is formulated to help with several health issues, including supporting joint health, relieving intermittent soreness and boosting muscle, GI tract, liver and prostate health. It is made of what the manufacturer says is a patented curcumin compound bound to phospholipids. Meriva-SF is even of benefit to cancer patients. Is it overstretching its reach? Is this supplement the right one for you? Read our full review below.

            What’s In Meriva-SF?

Thorne Research Meriva-SF contains two active ingredients:

            • Curcumin Phytosome Extract – Helps support joint health and cardiovascular health by controlling inflammatory response through the regulation of cytokine production.
            • Phosphatidylcholine complex from sunflower – Acts as an aid to curcumin, encouraging the body’s ability to absorb curcumin and enabling its effects to work faster. Each capsule contains 500 mg, total. This dosage is within the recommended daily amount.

Meriva-SF contains the following inactive ingredients:

            • Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose
            • Calcium Citrate Laurate
            • Hypromellose Capsule
            • Leucine
            • Silicon Dioxide
            • Microcrystalline Cellulose

How Do You Use Thorne Research Meriva-SF?

The recommended daily dose is one to two capsules, twice a day, unless a directed otherwise by a medical professional.

The manufacturer does provide some warnings pertaining to who should not take Meriva-SF. Anyone who has a known sensitivity to any of the ingredients included in this product should not take it. The product may also reduce the effect of cancer treatments, such as cytoxan and the chemotherapy drug Irinotecan. Therefore, anyone taking those medications should not use Meriva-SF without consulting a doctor first.

            The Cost

Meriva-SF is available for purchase through the manufacturer’s website. A 120-capsule bottle costs $41.60. Customers can sign up for auto delivery, but doing so doesn’t have any benefits, such as a discount. Orders over $125 receive free shipping. Meriva-SF can also be purchased through third-party websites such as Amazon. A one-time purchase on Amazon, at the time of our review, cost $39.52.

            Is There A Guarantee?

There is a return policy for Meriva-SF, but it does not appear to be a money-back guarantee and is very restrictive. Any damaged or incorrect orders have to be reported to the customer service department within seven days of shipment. All returns have to pre-approved and have to be received within 14 days of the approval. Customers must also mail a Return Authorization form. Customers are responsible for processing and shipping costs when returning a product. There is also a “processing fee” on returned products.

Meriva-SF, at the time of our review, had one of the highest approval ratings by Amazon customers that we have seen in this category with almost unanimous positive ratings from over 50 feedback posts.

The Conclusion Of Our Meriva-SF Review

Thorne Research Meriva-SF looks like it could be a good choice for relieving joint pain. Almost all customers using Meriva-SF have had a positive experience when taking it. However, a few customers have noticed that Meriva-SF can sometimes take a couple of months to start working. It is made from natural ingredients that should not cause any side effects. There are some concerns with this product. First, the return policy is very restrictive and seems to pertain to damaged or defective products, rather than products that don’t produce any results. In addition, if taken at the maximum dosage a 120-count bottle will last only a month, making the product somewhat on the pricey side over the long haul.
